I started gymnastics when I was eight years old and quickly learned how much time and hard work it took to learn difficult skills and how much more work it took to make them look easy. I spent 14 years reviewing the basics every day while constantly pushing the envelope with a higher level of difficulty. After a few years competing at Junior Olympic Nationals, I was proud to earn a spot on the Oregon State Gymnastics Team. Throughout high school and every summer in college, I had the opportunity to coach a wide range of ages and skill levels. I really enjoyed coaching and decided to help high school athletes and the general public improve their health and fitness through personal training. In 2011, a friend introduced me to CrossFit and I was immediately hooked. It brought me back to my love of the sport while re-introducing me to Olympic lifts that were part of the training program at OSU. I am so lucky to get to share my knowledge and experience in this sport with CrossFit athletes and coaches wanting to get stronger, move more efficiently and lay a solid foundation to build upon. Helping people accomplish tough goals, overcome fears, become more confident and become happier, healthier people is one of the best experiences I could ask for.
