With the open quickly approaching, and the competitive exercise season kicking off, its a time to consider training, and testing, or if they are mutually exclusive. There is an increased tendency recently to treat the two as opposites, or separate pursuits. As in to train means x, and to test means to evaluate. Remember the intention, and greatness of CrossFit lies in its measurable, observable, and repeatable data. This may imply every day is a test day, or this may also imply train every day, to compete the way you will test. View it as you may. Training and testing should not have separate skill sets, subjective intensity, or even focus. Keep that in mind as you work through your training today.
