Todays Technique work, is a ring routine, or a complex if that makes you feel fitter. The idea here is to begin stringing together skills into an assemblage of a routine. Most of these are of course non skills in gymnastics, however spending the time under tension, and comfort of stringing together skills other than muscle ups on rings is the beginning of working toward bridging the gap from fitness to sport and vice versa. Gymnastics is potentially the next frontier for Competitive CrossFit, and if you think a "ring routine" is outside the realm of possibility, you might be surprised come competition day. If you're not a competitive exerciser, the fun value of this skill is the reason you need to add it to your training.
