Is there a difference between race day and training day? Theres a tendency in this sport of fitness to train to a standard. Meaning to execute all volume, to an identifiable competitive standard. The big problem here of course is standards change. Leaving you with a skill set otherwise unusable. The other less obvious problem being that gymnastics is body weight movement, all bodyweight movement. Its development is more valuable than any declared rep. Training for quality of movement must be paramount, by quality we are referring to virtuosity, and not just a competitive standard. By training for virtuosity, your skill set or toolbox on game day is substantially larger. For todays Conditioning, keep quality in mind. For every days conditioning, keep quality in mind.
